Therefore wood-paper is more generally used.Esparto stands next to rags in favour,but the quantity of it available is small as compared with wood ,More that three -quarters of all the fibrous matter now used in paper-maker is obtained by "pulping "wood . Mixture of rag and esparto ,and of esparto and wood pulp are employed for high-class printing of books and newspaper s are printed on wood paper only.
